Statement of Faith

Faith Baptist Church of Peckville is . . .

1. An Independent Church – we belong to no
denominational organization.

2. A Baptist Church - we believe in the great Baptist
dinstinctives such as:

Verbal inspiration of the Scripture
Believer's baptism by immersion
Priesthood of the believer
Autonomy of the local church
Separation of church and state
Regenerate church membership

3. A Biblicist Church - everything we believe and
teach comes from the Word of God.

4. A Separated Church - separated ecclesiastically
from apostate groups such as the World Council, the
National Council, New Evangelicalism, etc. and
separated personally, using the great principles of
the Bible for a dedicated Christian life.

5. A Soul-winning Church - Acts 1:8 teaches that every
Christian is to win lost souls to Jesus Christ.

6. A Missionary Church - men are sent to establish New
Testament Churches in our own nation as well as
overseas.

7. A Teaching Church - our job is to instruct, teach,
and encourage the children of God.

8. A Fundamental Church - earnestly contending for the
faith once delivered to the saints.
